Hong Kong Temple

This past weekend the family headed to Hong Kong to attend the temple.  Our first visit to our official temple.  This being an official ward temple trip, there were a few families and couples from our ward attending with us.

Ashlyn and Dallin were able to do baptisms while there.  The younger kids got to spend much of the day hanging out in the church building accross the street.
We spent much of Saturday at the temple (and church accross the street).   Afterward we headed to a traditional restaurant for some lunch with a few of the other families.  Enjoyed some tasty Dim Sum - steamed chinese dumplings.
After church on Sunday we went to Victoria Peak to see the breathtaking views of the city and harbor.  Later on we ferried accross the harbor to watch the city light up the night with a lazer light show off the skyscrappers.
On our walk  around Victoria Peak, Craig came accross this funny sign.  Didn't know pedestrians were so dangerous!
Monday we headed out of the city to see the rest of Hong Kong Island.  Hong Kong Island is close to the same geographic size as Singapore but with mountains.  The 360 views on top the Dragonback hike were stunning.
We ended our final day at the seaside town of Stanley where the kids were anxious to do some shopping (knock-off market).

We enjoyed three wonderful days as a family in Hong Kong.  I attended alone last year so it was fun to bring the family along this time and show them the sites.  We all love the city with it's unique blend of old and new, traiditional chinese with British and western influence.  It actually reminds us alot of San Fransisco (but much bigger)!
