The day after we returned from Indonesia, we celebrated Bryant's 6th birthday. He asked for weeks to have a castle cake and kept reminding me that is what he wanted. I have a good friend who makes beautiful, amazing cakes so that morning he asked me when I was going to her house to make the cake. I assured him that I was capable of making a castle cake on my own - and especially with some help from grandma. It turned out to be not quite as easy as I thought - probably should have used the help (although, then we would have missed out on all the laughs in the kitchen while making). Nonetheless, a castle cake he had.
Such a delightful kid and joy to have around. Can't believe our baby is getting this old.
So lucky to have grandma and grandpa here to help celebrate.
