The kids had a few days off for 'Fall Break' last week so we took our first trip (as a family) and headed to Phuket, Thailand. A large group of families from our ward were going and we decided to hop on board.

The Marriott resort there was so beautiful, we had no problem just hanging around the resort, spending time playing in the pools and at the beach.

As there were 10 other families from our ward there, there were lots of friends to play with.

Sand castle contest.

We did get out and enjoy some of the sights and activities around us. I think one of the highlights for the kids was the elephant rides.

We were there on a Sunday and since we discovered that the only ward in Thailand was in Bangkok, we decided to visit the local Buddhist temples as a Sunday activity.
We had such a wonderful trip. It's been hard to get back to reality and normal life. Looking forward to our next adventure to Vietnam in December - although, that trip won't be quite as leisurely.

WOW! What a fun vacation! The elephant ride would have been a highlight for me too! Such a beautiful place!
That is the resort Tim & Kelly bought their time share. They have the same "riding the elephants" picture! What a fun trip!
AMAZING! I see these outings and think, "why aren't we there with you?" How can you be having so many cool "field trips" without us??? :))
It looks like it was beautiful! How fun to ride elephants. I will have to show my kids. I'm sure they will be jealous.
