We are now officially parents of a high schooler - scary! Last night Ashlyn graduated from middle school. She had two great years at Charlotte Wood in California and then a third at SAS here in Singapore.
The school did a nice job with the ceremony - highlighting each of the 300 kids that were graduating thru a slideshow. It flashed three pictures of Ashlyn (of her choosing) with her six word 'statement' above (hers read "Just embrace the dork in you")
Her three years of middle school has been filled with many wonderful friends - now spanning two continents. 
Although Ashlyn definitely seems mature, it's hard for me to believe I have a child in high school. We're looking forward to some great years ahead - although with some trepidation, as raising a teenager these days is anything but easy. However, we have always felt very lucky to have Ashlyn as a daughter and have confidence in her ability to succeed in whatever she does.

Wow!! So exciting! She looks beautiful and she does look more grown up! Can't wait to see you in a couple of weeks!
