Our second destination was a Larsen family reunion in Nauvoo. We spent a week in Nauvoo and surrounding area. The temple is the first thing you see and it truly is breathtaking!

We enjoyed many hours of exploring historic Nauvoo - visiting the homes and buildings, taking tours, and attending many of the shows and reenactments.

Our third day there we headed a few hours away to Springfield, Illinois, where Abraham Lincoln resided. It was very interesting to learn more about his life and presidency and visit the family home.

The kids had tons of fun with all their cousins. We enjoyed lots of time with family.

One of our favorite things was all the shows put on by the extremely talented youth that serve summer missions in Nauvoo. Bryant in particular was enamored by these fun, talented young men.

We ended our reunion in Carthage. What an amazing experience for our family to learn about this important church history and strengthen our testimonies.
