Tahoe

We got to spend an amazing few days in Tahoe this weekend.  We headed up early Friday morning to spend the day skiing.  We stayed there Friday night and then sledded on Saturday before heading home. We went with two other families from our ward that are good friends and have kids the same ages.  We did this last year also and hope to make it a yearly tradition. We were so lucky to have fantastic weather.  It had just snowed a ton a few days earlier and then was nice and sunny for us.
Alexa skied for the first time!  She did a ski school in the morning then skied with her dad for a few runs after lunch.  It was so stinking cute watching her ski.
She even went on the chairlift!

Breann did a great job - she's the fearless one.  It took her a few runs to remember how to ski under control (as opposed to just heading straight down and crashing to stop).  When she got to the bottom she would just get right back in line - didn't care to wait for anyone.  She wanted to get in as many runs as possible.
Dallin our snowboarder.  This is his third time snowboarding and he's getting really good at it.  I think that riding the ripstick really helped him get the feel of it.  It's fun to watch him on that thing.
I only got one picture of Ashlyn as she was off skiing with friends most the day.  She is a cautious skier but I was proud of her for attempting some of the harder runs this time.

Saturday we spent the day sledding.  The kids had so much fun.  They get so tired trudging up that hill but yet they keep doing it over and over again.
Here's our whole crew!  That's only three families (14 kids)!

To end our fabulous Tahoe weekend, we got to stop at Costa Vita for dinner on the way home.  We miss Costa Vita in AZ so much and were so excited to find one just outside of Sacramento - right in our path home.  Nothing like a sweet pork salad to end a great Tahoe weekend!

Fun updates! We missed having you around last weekend, but it looks like you had a blast up on the slopes. The kids are getting huge. I honestly thought that Breann was Ashlyn. Time flies!

It looks like you had a blast up there! I am impressed with your children skiing!

Yes, it is probably better that you weren't in Utah because we got Brett and Rach's family serioulsy sick too! We do miss you all though and hope to see you before August!
