Soccer in the rain

The pictures aren't the greatest (from a phone) but I wanted to show our Saturday soccer games. Ashlyn, Dallin, and Breann are all playing soccer right now. Lucky for us, most all their games are at the same time and same place - just different fields. There is even some bleachers I can sit in and see all their games from one spot.

This past Saturday they played in a huge rain storm. Because it rains so much here, the games go on no matter how hard the rain. They do stop the games for lightening - the school has a siren that will sound if there is any lightening. The kids thought it was fun to play in the rain. Not as fun for the spectators and coaches though.
Dallin hasn't played soccer (in a league) since about 2nd grade. We were a bit leery when he said he wanted to play but he's been doing a great job and seems to be enjoying it.
Breann (you can barely see her - she's the one with the ball) still has a passion for the game - anything with a ball and some competition is right up her alley.

We enjoy spending our Saturday mornings at the fields again. There's something about soccer that our family just loves. Bryant put cleats and shin guards on almost daily and practices out front of our house. He's going to hopefully play in a pee-wee league starting in January. Alexa decided to stick with gymnastics which is her passion.
